Used external hard drive not being recognized?

i took internal hdd from my old computer ( bec my old pc had some power problems) and put it in a usb external hdd enclosure in hopes of salvaging data from it. My laptop was able to recgonize the device after I switched usb clabes BUT i still cannot copy files/folders from it. It doesn't show up in my computer or disk management, it is only avalaible on device manager ( labled disk drive). When it is attached, my laptop kinda slows down, i don't know if that's normal. I want to know how to retrieve these files, do i need to dl drivers so I can read the hdd in the enclosure? i AM pretty sure the old hdd is not corrupted, i can hear it spinning

A man cannot come back from the dead under any cirstance unless there is some outside force (which I believe is the God of the bible). Now whether you choose to believe that the bible is anything more than a fairy tale is your choice. But what if you are wrong in this choice? According to the bible, you will go to Hell and burn for eternity. So this is a terrible consequence for a choice you made in a very short term period considering the length of eternity. But what if the Christian is wrong? He has lived a life of good moral, character, and made prudent decisions and not lost anything. So if me and all the other billion Christians are wrong, so be it we have lived a healthy life and still lived life to the fullest.

The movie itself is a very watered down version of the trilogy of books it is based on. The books were written by an athiest who has the children kill god. Obviously many people would not be aware of this by simply seeing the first movie and so all the bad talk came about as a way to warn parents of children who like to read , like the harry potter and Narnia fans that the actual books contained alot that they may not want their children to read. First step is that you recognized the issue, which is good. You can stop yourself from further gaining so much weight. You're not overweight, but it's good too take control of your weight now. Make more of an effort to exercise and at healthier. Don't live for weigh-ins, though; weigh yourself maybe once a week to make sure you aren't gaining more weight, but remember that things like clothes sizes and the like count more than the number on a hunk of metal [weight-wise, of course; if you're talking emotionally, your heart and brain and whatnot count WAY more than the number on a hunk of metal :) ]. Remember that trying to lose all 25 pounds quickly is not the way to go; I'd just stick with exercising and heating healthy, and see where that leads you. Good luck!

2 weeks ago I bought a new couch and loveseat when my fiance and I bought a new house. They both sit up off the floor on legs just enough that the cats can get under them. Of course there is the black lining on the bottom that covers what would be the opening there. My cats (well maybe only one of them, I cannot catch them in the act) have decided that it would be neat if they could make it a new hiding place. They have torn a hole in the lining just big enough to be able to climb inside and lay in it and start to tear up and play in all of the stuffing and the springs. They also started to claw the outside arms. These cats have not really done anything like this before. They have scratching pads and posts and toys that have usually kept them occupied. They still use all that stuff too, just added the furniture. Any suggestions??? I have heard feliway is good to keep cats from clawing things, but this is supposedly when it is because of stress, it looks like mine are just having fun :(

Honda Prelude Having Trouble Starting?

I own a 1992 Honda Prelude which has trouble starting sometimes. The engine turns every time but when testing the fuel line by the engine no fuel shot out. The car seems to start fine in the mornings, but has a bit of problems starting later in the day (maybe heat?).The car has near 200k miles on it (everything runs strong but the starting problem). Think it may be a clogged filter, or perhaps is it about time to replace the fuel pump? Any advice will help, thanks.

Why are the home loan companies making it impossible for you to get improved for a loan?

I mean my husband is trying to get a home loan, he has good credit score, no fico score, but we have a lot of good credit references. He has a good paying stable job, and still the loan companies are making it impossible for us to get a loan. They come up with ridiculous letters, like they sent a letter for his employer to sign yes or no if he gets guarenteed overtime. who the hell gets guarenteed overtime?? And just because his employer said he couldnt guarentee overtime, they refused us the loan. And the time before that the other company, decided to bring up at the last minute a week before escrow closes, about the mello roos that so happenly made us go 80 dollars over our loan, so we had to try to find a co-signer the last minute just for 80 frickin dollars, when we couldnt find anyone, they refused us the loan. I mean, i see people with bad credits get home loans. WHY NOT US??

Implied Scene in "Empire of the Sun"?

In Empire of the Sun (saw the movie last night and read the book many many years ago) there is a scene where James first enters the empty house shortly after the Japanese capture Shanghai. He sees makeup on the floor, foot and hand prints and what looks to be clawing marks and many footprints. McCain's policies follow the republican policies which I stand by. I defend McCain's policy to lower taxes not only for 95% americans but for the other 5% "rich business owners" who keep this country going. If we were to add taxes to the businesses they will have to make up for the money they are losing and in most companies that would mean cutting out a little guy. so I support lowering taxes for all americans. Taxes are my main concern. I also agree with the death penalty and am against abortion, both of which are republican beliefs. on top of that I definetly don't want universal health care which is something the democrats are pushing for. Any country that has universal health care can vouch that it's not good. Our country's health care may not be perfect but it's the best in the world, which is why people who have complex surgeries always come to the USA. So for these reasons, I support and defend McCain's policies.

I was recently approved at a Toyota dealership for a new 2010 Prius II. Even though about 3 1/2 years earlier I had filed chapter 7 bankruptcy & I've been self-employed for around 3 yrs I still scored in the low 600's so they told me to get a co-signer with a good credit score and I can be approved, My grandmother said she would sign and she scores a 750 so after they checked her credit they approved the loan. It took me a couple of weeks to get them down to a decent price & payment but they finally did...anyways I told them to print out the contract & we would come in and sign....I got there about 30 mins earlier than my grandmother and they let me sign all my contract papers but before she could get there, my salesman come back out & said that toyota financing was not gonna do my loan because of my previous bankruptcy and me and my grandmother had a different address. Keep in mind that this dealership had checked mine and my grandmothers credit about 3 weeks before and they already knew all this info about us. I feel like I was fed a line of BullSh*T and they backed out because I had gotten them down about $3000 off the list and maybe someone at the last minute offered them more. All right i own a 2010 F-350 turbo Diesel, dual wheel truck. Its my everyday driver, workhorse, and every thing in between. It is stoke turbo, stock transmission, inter cooler and all the other parts necessary to operate a turbo system for a big truck. What type of cat skin parasite is this?

My cat has about twenty little parasites attatched to him, mainly under his chin and on the front of his chest. They're about 1/2 a mm long and a light sort of greyish-white with reddish legs. They're attatched to his skin like ticks and there's little raised lumps around them. However, I pulled some off and looked at one under a microscope and it only has three pairs of legs, where ticks have four. In all other respects it is like a tick. It is almost perfectly round, slightly elongated, with the three pairs of legs grouped near the front of the body. At the head there is a long mouthpiece/sucky thing and two little antannae looking things, one on either side of the mouth, pointing forward. Please help. He has so many and it will take so long to remove them and i want to know if it is worth it.

My little boy is not quite 7 weeks old and has bronchiolitis (not bronchitis!). Having trouble differentiating long vowels and monophthongs in Finnish?

I have a huge problem when I try to pronounce Finnish words, for instance: 'aa' and 'ai'. I've looked at the IPA and it shows that 'aa' has a short 'i' after it, and 'ai' basically is as it's shown. But since i haer them both said the same how do I tell them apart? I would say a word for like for instance: kohtaan, I would say it as kohtain because I've seen the IPA show 'aa' as 'ai' but the 'i' is short and I end up saying 'ai' for some reason. Sometimes I would try to raise the tone of the vowel and say 'aa' like the 'a' in 'father' and I would normally say the vowel 'a' as in the word 'omatunto' as the 'a' in 'about'. Any help would be good, thanks.

Carrots need a little more time to cook, so, peel and slice them and start cooking them first. Once they come to a good boil, turn the heat down, add the peeled. chopped potatoes, along with some chopped onion until tender. Drain, add a can of beef broth, a bay leaf, other seasonings that you like, and the stewed tomatoes. Simmer until all the flavors come together. If you have other veggies, you can add those too. It makes a good vegetable soup.

You could give birth days before the concert. Due dates are educated guesses. You're considered full term between 38-42 weeks. I don't know the answer to your feeding questions, so I can't answer that those, but unless you go on or before your due date, have a regular l birth with no complications, I think it's safe to say you won't be going to this concert.

Here's the thing, depending on how old you are you can have your parents open you a custodian account. One they have control of and you can deposit money into. Your parents have to go to the bank sometime, make sure you go too. Sit them down and tell them how important this is to you and that you really want to open an account so you don't spend all your money. If they have access to an on-line bank most likely they can open you an account on-line. If they don't then you need to get them to take you to the bank. Set up an appointment with them to get it done. Next, limit your access to the account, although I don't see that as a problem. The rule of thumb is 12% to be able to retire and live above your current means after retirement. Saving more now means having more later. If you are of age you can open an account as well, see if your employer is willing to direct deposit your check, once the money is in the account leave it there until you absolutely need it. I am in my high school's marching band. My experience is like Stella's. I bit my nails til I was about thirty. And whenever I'd manage to bite the nails all the way down to the flesh, I'd then rip out the cuticles and even start gnawing on my fingertips, which consequently became calloused, so it was almost painless. A constantly ugly and bloody mess. In fairness, it was probably a relatively good way of relieving anxiety and focusing concentration. Better than some of my other habits, like smoking. why this is in biology is beyond me, but i agree completely. I'm muslim but i do not agree with the young earth as i like to call it, but religion, well mostly christianity and some older ones, are stories with morals, like the tortoise and the hare, meant to teach a lesson, set rules, like that but for adults. But they went as far as worshipping it. If you think about it, the bible, the quran (yes im saying it) the bhagavad gita and other holy books are really just there to set rules, keep people in line, but sometimes its like worshipping the tortoise and the hare. The thing about the earth being 6 thousand years old is when the bible was written, there wasnt any written history about 4- 5 thousand years before that, so they umed there was nothing before them. Humans love to think they are/ were first, and love being first. And america is SUCH a catholic nation it will have a negative impact soon, to the point it will be taught a fact in public schools, it sickens me, it is illogical. And most catholics dont know much about their own holy book, most jews, muslims, and atheist/ agnostics know a lot. it was in a real study. And your right but they arent gonna change their oppinions about religion any time soon, perhaps EVER but we must learn to live with it, as excruciating as it will be. I honestly wouldnt mind if people didnt force their religion on to me, but they do.

Ummm. YES! It's great writing, filled with complex characters with flaws. The plot is epic, and even little things that are mentioned in the first book come into play in the seventh. Jo Rowling obviously put a lot of time and research into her books. If you read all seven books in a row you can see what a fantasy masterpiece Rowling has created. She has created a whole nother world and has gotten many a youth into reading, which is an amazing feat! Yes they are entertaining reads, but also good works of literature.

I just put a water pump in a 98 Mitsubishi Triton 4cyl petrol due to it leaking. You had to take the timing cover and belt off to get to the pump. I put it all back together but it wont run. When it winds over it sounds like its got very low compression. However it ran fine before I started. I'm thinking it might have bent valves. I have a compresion tester but i cant fit it down the tunnel in the tappet cover. So anyone know what I can do to check or anything? Please help

Too much current in my tank?

I just got a new tank, and got 4 tiger barbs and some sort of tetra, (i forgot the name) but the Guy at Petco told me they were good for new tanks. I put them in, (after i tested my water of course) and they are close to the bottom, and have to move their fins to stay in one place. Whats causing this? i have an Aqueon power filter 20, and its it fairly small, and the water water falls into the tank, about an inch from the top of the tank, and a bubble, that should not have a problem with that stuff. Lump under scar 3 months after operation?

when i had a lump removed and a minor surgery i then had a new lump underneath the scaring of the skin... my doctor said this was normal that it was just the layers of muscle and skin rebuilding itself... Your body gets used to something being in it then when they remove it the body has to repair itself again... But if you are still having pain with the scar as well you might of gotten a little bacteria in it when they were removing the screws and pins... i would call your doctor and ask to be on the safe side.
