What is wrong with this movie?

The movie itself is a very watered down version of the trilogy of books it is based on. The books were written by an athiest who has the children kill god. Obviously many people would not be aware of this by simply seeing the first movie and so all the bad talk came about as a way to warn parents of children who like to read , like the harry potter and Narnia fans that the actual books contained alot that they may not want their children to read. The movie is deceptive of the message the author was really trying to express.
