HELP! High school orchestra too much?

So I'm a freshman in high school, and I'm stressing about my orchestra cl. You see, I went into beginning orchestra in 8th grade and jumped to my high school string orchestra; something that's rarely done. I play the double b, and aside from all the freaking fees I keep having to pay that I can't afford, I'm scared that I'm too inexperienced. I've only been playing for a YEAR, and trying to keep up with the other bists is hard. One of the violins went up to me in cl yesterday and told me that my pitch sucked when I was trying to match it. I don't even know some of the notes. I'm so scared, and it's too late to transfer out. The conductor asked if I wanted tapes. TAPES (for those of you who don't know, tapes are the strips they put on beginning students' instruments so they know where to put their fingers when they play). That's so degrading. What do I do?
